Lands End

As we watched the twinkling waves of the brightly lit Ocean Beach, we were reminded of the vastness of life. 

Everything was glowing -

The foamy waves,

The silent Sutro baths,

You,

Me.

We looked back and saw the moon, glowing fully at us. 

We walked hand in hand - you talked me through the slippery steps in your warm echo-y voice. I was giggling, making my small noises. It felt like we had known each other for a timeless amount of time. I felt this was a man I could trust effortlessly, and I wondered why that felt so foreign.

In those moments, the only thing interrupting our mutual steps was my heart beating throughout my body, reminding myself of my own life, fully alive. I walked behind his steps to the soft beats of my heart, wondering quietly if this was the beginning of something as vast as the ocean behind us.
